**Karis Winter National Entertainment Award

On February 6th, 2009 our Ultimate Dance Studio family experienced a tragic loss like no other. One of our little dancers, Karis Amanda Winter, age 7, passed away suddenly that day. Karis was a member of our Petite/Junior Clogging class with plans to join the Petite/Junior Clogging Team in the fall of 2009. She was such a cute, sweet, and talented little girl who will be missed dearly. Patrick and I feel so blessed to have gotten to know her during her short time with us and will treasure that time always. In keeping Karis’s memory alive, we created this special National award. Karis loved to dance and perform and what better way to honor her than to award a routine or even dancer each year at Nationals that has that same spunk and enthusiasm as Karis did every time she took the stage. Karis absolutely loved to dance and it showed! We love and miss her very much! She will be in our hearts FOREVER!
